Your guests trust you with a little information during their stay. Here is exactly what GoTuloy keeps, for how long, and what it never asks for. Under the Data Privacy Act of 2012 you, the host, decide what goes on your page; we process it for you.
What guests are never asked for
- No account, no app, no sign-up. The page is always optional.
- No email address, phone number or social media handle, anywhere on the guest page.
- No government IDs or health information.
- No payments, surveys or star ratings.
Guestbook notes
- A note has a display name, an optional "from", the message and, on the Host plan, an optional photo. Guests tick a box agreeing that you may show it.
- Photos are resized and saved again without their metadata, so the location the photo was taken is removed.
- Notes only appear after you approve them. Notes you hide are deleted for good after 30 days.
- A guest who wants their note removed can ask you, or contact us.
Building guest lists
If you use the Stays helper to prepare the guest list your building asks for, the guest names and plate number are stored encrypted and deleted automatically 7 days after check-out.
Visit counts
We count page views, QR scans and which sections are read as daily totals per page. There is no per-visitor tracking on guest pages, and no Google Analytics or advertising cookies there.
Your own data
You can export your pages and notes any time from your settings. If you close your account, your pages, notes, photos and stays are deleted.
The full details are in our Privacy Notice and Data Processing Agreement.
