Approve and manage guestbook notes
Approve, hide, pin or report notes, and what happens to guest photos.
The guestbook wall lets guests leave a note, and on the Host plan a photo, for you and the next guests. Nothing appears on your page until you approve it.
Approve or hide notes
Open Guestbook in the sidebar. New notes wait in the Waiting tab, and we email you when one arrives.
- Approve puts the note on your page.
- Hide keeps it off your page. Hidden notes are deleted for good after 30 days.
- Pin keeps an approved note at the top of the wall.
- Report is for notes that break the rules, like spam, harassment or someone's private details. The note comes down at once and our team reviews it.
Notes with links or strong language are held in Hidden automatically so you can check them first. Use Approve anyway if they're fine.
Photos
On the Host plan you can let guests add a photo (turn it on in the Guestbook section of the editor). We resize every photo and remove its hidden location data before anyone sees it.
If a guest asks to remove their note
Hide the note in the Guestbook screen and it's off your page at once. Guests never give an email or phone number, so they will usually ask you through Airbnb.
